“We are the music makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams; – World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams; Yet we are the movers and shakers Of the world for ever, it seems”
Being an artist means not numbering and counting but ripening like a tree, which does not force its sap, and stands confidently in the storms of Spring, not afraid that afterward Summer may not come. It does come. But, it comes only to those who are patient, who are there as if eternity lay before them, so unconcernedly silent and vast. I learn it every day of my life. Learn it with pain. I am grateful for patience is everything.

As you all know, I wrote and shot my first film A Voice To The Writer with Ardent Pictures this past Summer. We are in the middle of editing it as we speak. It’s coming soon my friends; girl scout honor. My friend Samantha Swan who is one of the founder’s of Ardent Pictures wrote a great article that everyone should read. Whatever your medium of art is, it is applicable to you. Here is, Just Make Stuff.
Hey Everyone! Yesterday’s film shoot was SO much fun! It was the hottest day of the year, we started at 4am, and everyone was a true rockstar! I wanted to share a few photos with you whilst keeping some secrets and surprises for you at the same time! On our way back from Caledon, I realized that by not filling up my time putting energy in to situations or relationships that don’t work, by giving that energy to myself, look at what I did do! Look at the possibility of what you can and could do?! I hope you are all having an amazing weekend! Enjoy.
I wanted to share some fun and exciting news with you! Back In April when I was in Vancouver, BC celebrating my grandparent’s 60th wedding anniversary, I was reading Patti Smith’s, ‘Just Kids.’Not only was I unbelievably inspired and moved, I realized how lazy I had become as an artist. I asked myself a few questions. What happened to doing something creative every day? What happened to doing something for my art every day? I used to do that.
I had been entertaining the idea of writing a short film for my blog, but thinking and doing, are two very different things. Well….it’s time! I have written my first film, and I am excited to share with you that we will be shooting it this month! I wanted to give you guys, A Voice To The Writer, which is exactly what the name of the film is. I am also proud to announce that I will be working with Chris Comrie and Samantha Swan of Ardent Pictures. It’s going to be a fun and exotic shoot. Here’s a toast to Miss Patti Smith and to every artist out there, here we go.
“In art and dream may you proceed with abandon. In life may you proceed with balance and stealth. For nothing is more precious than the life force and may the love of that force guide you as you go.”
― Patti Smith, Early Work, 1970-1979
